Maintenance Technician (Temporary)

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Hawthorne Groves community on a temporary basis (up to 90 days). The role involves ensuring that all building systems, grounds, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, cleanliness, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident work orders and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and completing repairs in line with safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, coordinating vendors, and completing all required maintenance tasks.
• Manage inventory by retrieving supplies and tools, tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts instead of replacing them whenever possible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to perform a wide range of mechanical and technical tasks in a residential property setting.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections, documentation, and inventory management.
