Maintenance Technician – Sycamore Heights

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Sycamore Heights community. The role involves ensuring that all building systems, grounds, and common‑area amenities meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety codes and company procedures.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service activities accurately and promptly for tracking and reporting purposes.
• Maintain common areas and amenities by cleaning, pressure‑washing, trash removal, and occasional painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts when feasible and minimizing waste of materials.

Required profile

• Ability to read and interpret work orders, maintenance manuals, and safety regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Good communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors, and supervisors.
• Physical capability to perform manual labor and lift equipment safely.

Required skills

• Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Experience with inventory tracking and documentation.
