Maintenance Technician – Summerwell Deerhaven

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the physical aspects of the Summerwell Deerhaven community—including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas—meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete resident‑initiated work orders and preventative maintenance tasks, diagnosing defects and performing repairs in line with company policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment by tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document all service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking and reporting.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical or physical defects and perform repairs according to established procedures.
• Familiarity with safety standards, building codes, and Greystar’s operational policies.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation and inventory management.
