Maintenance Technician – Student Living

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Cammer Villas student‑living community. The role ensures that all building systems, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, cleanliness and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident service requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep by picking up debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
• Participate in safety meetings and complete required safety training to comply with Greystar’s risk‑management policies.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical or technical issues and perform repairs in accordance with established procedures.
• Experience preparing vacant apartments for new occupants, including inspections and coordination with vendors.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory management and documentation.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe environment for residents and staff.
