Maintenance Technician - Silver

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Silver property in San Jose. The role involves hands‑on technical work to keep the building, grounds, amenities and common areas clean, safe and fully functional.

Key responsibilities

• Complete resident‑generated work orders and preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all maintenance activities accurately and promptly.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in painting, plumbing, electrical systems and troubleshooting/diagnostic repairs.
• Familiarity with property‑management and maintenance platforms such as Yardi and HappyCo is preferred.
• Strong problem‑solving ability, organizational skills and the capacity to prioritize tasks while maintaining high service quality.
• Availability to work Tuesday through Saturday, 9 am–6 pm.
