Maintenance Technician – Precast Concrete Plant

About the role
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving plant equipment and facilities in a precast concrete manufacturing environment. The role ensures equipment reliability, minimizes downtime, and supports safe, efficient production through proactive maintenance and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on plant equipment such as mixers, conveyors, cranes, batching systems, molds, and hydraulic systems.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and complete timely repairs.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment, tools, and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Support production by responding quickly to equipment breakdowns and minimizing downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and parts usage documentation.
- Assist with installation, modification, and relocation of equipment and plant infrastructure.
- Follow all safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and leadership teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.
- Maintain housekeeping standards in maintenance areas and across the facility.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or trade certification preferred.
- 2+ years maintenance experience in manufacturing, construction materials, or heavy industrial environments preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Welding, fabrication, and industrial troubleshooting experience preferred.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and equipment documentation.
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding industrial environment with outdoor exposure, dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights when required.

- Confined space procedures
- Use of CMMS/IFS systems
- Reading technical manuals and schematics
