Maintenance Technician – Plant Equipment & Facility

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures plant equipment and facility systems operate efficiently, supporting production and overall plant performance. Working on a mix of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and building systems, the role balances preventive upkeep with rapid corrective actions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery and systems to minimise downtime.
• Diagnose equipment failures, replace parts, and execute repairs using hand and power tools.
• Install, re‑assemble, and modify machine components, including welding and cutting operations.
• Maintain clean and lubricated equipment, handle basic plumbing and carpentry tasks, and operate forklifts safely.
• Interpret manuals, work orders and PLC/HVAC documentation to guide service activities.
• Report faulty operations or material issues to supervisors and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and industrial electrical systems.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lb and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English; bilingual Spanish is a plus.
• Strong problem‑solving initiative and teamwork orientation.
