Maintenance Technician – Parker

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Parker property in Berkeley. You will ensure that the building, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet the company’s standards for safety, cleanliness, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete preventative maintenance work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document all service requests and maintenance activities accurately and promptly.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and minimizing waste of materials.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of related maintenance experience.
• Ability to work Tuesday‑Saturday, 9 am‑6 pm, with on‑call availability.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety and code standards.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors, and team members.
