Maintenance Technician – Overlook at Bernardo Heights

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will ensure that the physical aspects of the Overlook at Bernardo Heights community—including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas—meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. This full‑time position works Tuesday‑Saturday with on‑call duties and supports resident satisfaction through timely repairs and preventative maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident work orders, diagnose issues, and perform repairs in accordance with safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and ensure timely completion of paperwork.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep, such as trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting of curbs and signage.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in property management or construction.
• Ability to work the Tuesday‑Saturday schedule with on‑call availability.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Experience using pressure‑washing equipment.
