Maintenance Technician – Opus

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Opus property in Los Angeles. The role ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete resident service work orders and preventative maintenance tasks, diagnosing issues and performing repairs according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and minimizing waste of materials.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of property maintenance experience, preferably in high‑rise environments.
• Familiarity with Yardi property management software is preferred.
• Ability to work a Thursday‑Monday schedule, 9 am‑6 pm, with flexibility for business needs.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety and code standards.
