Maintenance Technician - Night Shift

About the role

Dura-Line, an Orbia Connectivity Solutions business, is hiring a Maintenance Technician for its facility in Gainesville, Texas. The position covers night shift and involves maintaining the extrusion line and related equipment, supporting breakdowns and assisting with rebuilds, shutdowns and new installations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain resin systems, vacuum loaders and clean filters, making necessary repairs
• Keep support equipment such as tape feeders, spiral units, extruders, vacuum tanks, pullers, reelers, air and water systems in good condition
• Help all departments during breakdowns and assist the general maintenance crew with equipment rebuilds, plant shutdowns and new equipment installations
• Perform tooling changes for the extrusion department as required by order changes
• Use a volt meter to check and replace fuses, motor starters, relays, pumps and motors, and troubleshoot faulty electric circuits
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety requirements

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance
• Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of power transmission equipment, including bearings, gears, sprockets, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and pumps
• Ability to read work instructions and safety documents, and to take measurements and use basic tools
• Familiarity with plumbing and good knowledge of state and local safety codes

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand and power tools such as wrenches, torches, volt meters, drill press and band saw
• Some electrical ability is preferred
