Key responsibilities
- Complete work orders from resident service requests and preventative maintenance, diagnosing problems and repairing them according to policy, safety standards and code requirements.
- Run the make-ready process for vacant apartments: pre-move-out inspection, punch list, vendor and contractor scheduling, supplies and final inspection.
- Track inventory, return unused items and notify the maintenance supervisor of re-order needs.
- Document service requests accurately and on time.

- Periodically check contractor and vendor work, and help with property inspections.
Required profile
- 1-2 years of maintenance experience; multifamily experience preferred.
- Experience with high-rise or large multifamily communities, preventative maintenance, unit turns and emergency response.
- EPA 608 certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on property where applicable.
- Physical ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather, lift up to 25 pounds alone and 50 pounds with help, and work irregular hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Required skills
- Strong HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair and general building maintenance skills.
- EPA Type I and II or Universal refrigerant recycling certification (for certified service technicians).
- All state and local certifications required for service technicians.
What we offer
- Hourly pay of $26.00-$29.00 in Glendale, California, with possible weekly, monthly or quarterly bonuses.
- Medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, with low employee medical costs.
- Paid time off: 15 vacation days, 4 personal days, 10 sick days and 11 paid holidays, plus birthday off after 1 year.
- Housing discount at Greystar-managed communities, subject to availability.
- 401(k) with company match up to 6% after 6 months, paid parental leave and fertility benefit reimbursement up to $10,000.
