Maintenance Technician – Monty

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the physical aspects of its Monty property meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. The role involves responding to resident service requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory by tracking material usage, returning unused items, and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials and tools efficiently.

Required profile

• Available to work Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm with a rotating on‑call schedule.
• Commitment to follow Greystar’s safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Ability to complete documentation and inventory tasks accurately.
