Maintenance Technician – Mid‑Rise Apartment Community

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support The Manor at Weston, a stabilized mid‑rise community of 302 units in Morrisville, NC. The role ensures that the building, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete resident‑requested work orders and preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and performing repairs in line with policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep by picking up debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to read and follow work orders, safety procedures and building codes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document work accurately.
• Willingness to work a Monday‑Friday schedule with rotating on‑call duties.
• Physical capability to perform manual labor, lift equipment and work in various weather conditions.
