Maintenance Technician – Manufacturing/Industrial (Night Shift)

About the role

Join the Albion, NY plant of Saint‑Gobain/Adfors as a Maintenance Technician on the 3rd shift. You will work closely with Maintenance Mechanics to safely diagnose, repair, and install mechanical and production equipment in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and repair mechanical machinery malfunctions.
• Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of general production and facility equipment.
• Assemble and install pipe systems, supports, and related hydraulic, pneumatic, and pumping equipment.
• Install steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, and sprinkler systems.
• Perform dry‑can changes, building and machine repairs as needed.
• Complete daily maintenance work logs and generate purchase order requests for parts.
• Provide assistance and training to fellow workers when required.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a fixer or setup technician in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to work unsupervised, efficiently, and safely on night shift.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented with accurate record‑keeping abilities.

Required skills

• Mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Pipe installation and support fabrication.
• Hydraulic, pneumatic, and pumping system knowledge.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic math/weight conversions.
• Use of measuring tools and hand tools (hammer, pry bar, utility knife, scissors, etc.).
