Maintenance Technician - Make Ready

About the role

Weinstein Properties is seeking a hands‑on Maintenance Technician to lead the make‑ready process for vacant apartments in its Chamblee community. The role combines routine maintenance, quick turn‑over of units, and daily upkeep of common areas, offering a stable full‑time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Complete the turn/make‑ready process for vacant apartments, ensuring each unit meets quality standards.
• Assist the maintenance team with work orders and repairs as needed.
• Maintain property grounds, amenities, and pool areas on a daily basis.
• Support the overall appearance of the community, including landscaping and common‑area upkeep.
• Participate in a rotating emergency on‑call schedule.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of apartment or residential maintenance experience.
• Willingness to train for HVAC certification if not already certified.
• Strong customer‑service mindset and pride in workmanship.
• Reliable transportation and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 lb, climb ladders, and work outdoors year‑round.

Required skills

• EPA certification (Type II or Universal) – preferred.
• Hands‑on HVAC troubleshooting and repair.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Comfortable using Outlook and work‑order management systems.
• Ability to operate a golf cart for property inspections.
