Maintenance Technician - Katy area

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team in the Katy area. The role is responsible for ensuring that the physical aspects of our residential properties, including buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas, meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with company policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Carry out preventative maintenance tasks across the property to minimize equipment downtime.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, coordinating vendors and contractors, and ensuring units are ready for new occupants.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of supplies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant trade certifications preferred.
• Experience in residential property maintenance or a similar environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals and building codes.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
