Maintenance Technician – Jefferson (Dedham Station)

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Jefferson property at Dedham Station. The role ensures that all building systems, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet the company’s standards for safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory by tracking usage of materials, supplies, tools, and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to follow Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation and inventory tracking.
• Capability to coordinate with vendors and contractors for timely completion of tasks.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning, pressure‑washing, painting, and other manual maintenance activities.
