Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician supports the Operations department by performing building, custodial, grounds, security and safety tasks across all church campuses. Reporting to the Facility Manager, the role requires prompt, courteous service and the ability to work independently on multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Carpentry – repair doors, windows, floors and related structures.
• Grounds Maintenance – inspect lighting and signs, remove snow/ice, landscape, trim trees, clear gutters and maintain parking lot drains.
• Painting – prepare surfaces and paint walls, ceilings, and perform drywall repairs.
• Equipment Maintenance – service office furniture, leaf blowers, chainsaws, carts, tractors and lifts.
• Electrical – troubleshoot issues, replace fixtures and ensure safety standards.
• Plumbing – fix leaks in copper, PEX, PVC, CPVC, unclog drains and maintain fixtures.
• HVAC – change filters, maintain condensate drains, clean coils, air handlers and condensers, including roof work.

Required profile

• Demonstrated problem‑solving and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work independently, follow directions and maintain a flexible schedule including Sundays and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and phone service for multi‑site attendance.
• Pass a randomized drug test and background check.
