Maintenance Technician – Independence Park

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the day‑to‑day operations of its Independence Park community. You will ensure that all building systems, grounds, and common‑area amenities meet the company’s high standards for safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete preventative maintenance by diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety codes and company policies.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all work orders and maintenance activities accurately and promptly.
• Assist with grounds and amenity upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts when feasible and minimizing material waste.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of hands‑on maintenance experience, preferably with vintage or older buildings.
• Ability to read and follow technical manuals, safety standards, and building codes.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for tracking work orders and inventory.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, lift equipment, and work in various weather conditions.
