Maintenance Technician II – Rotating 12‑hr Shifts

About the role

Graham Packaging is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to join its plant in Port Allen, Louisiana. The position works on a rotating 12‑hour schedule, alternating between day and night shifts each month. The role focuses on keeping production equipment and facility systems running reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all production machinery and plant infrastructure.
• Diagnose equipment failures, replace or repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
• Execute emergency repairs during production runs and scheduled maintenance during shutdowns.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, work orders, and schematics.
• Maintain compliance with safety, health, quality, GMP, and company policies.
• Document maintenance activities and report performance against budgeted goals.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred.
• Experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to work rotating day/night 12‑hour shifts.
• Ability to work independently and follow established procedures.
