Maintenance Technician I

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician I to ensure safe and efficient operation of our facility. The role involves routine maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and plumbing systems throughout the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair of facility equipment, systems, and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and plumbing issues.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment, tools, and facility systems.
• Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other heavy equipment in accordance with safety procedures.
• Assist with installation, modification, and repair of facility equipment and systems.
• Maintain hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Handle and dispose of hazardous waste safely.
• Read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Work in overhead, confined, and physically demanding environments as required.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and support production teams to minimize equipment downtime.

Required profile

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to read and understand English.
• Willingness to work overtime with little or no notice.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools and power tools.
