Maintenance Technician I

About the role

The Maintenance Technician I provides hands‑on support for manufacturing, packaging and distribution equipment on the second shift. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing and performing preventative maintenance on a variety of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex operating problems on electrical, vacuum, mechanical and pneumatic equipment.
• Repair and calibrate motor‑control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings and solenoids.
• Perform mechanical calibrations, alignments and preventative maintenance on production machinery.
• Assemble, test and modify control equipment as needed.
• Complete daily maintenance reports and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Follow safety policies, report unsafe conditions and participate in safety programs.

Required profile

• Associate degree, military training or civilian equivalent in Industrial Maintenance Technology.
• 1‑3 years of related maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills; able to follow verbal and written instructions.
