Maintenance Technician – Hoboken Point

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure that the physical aspects of its Hoboken Point property—including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas—meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. The role involves responding to resident requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident service requests and conduct preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to follow safety and risk‑management policies and participate in routine safety meetings.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections, documentation, and quality of work.
• Organized approach to inventory management and vendor coordination.
• Physical capability to perform manual labor, lift equipment, and work in various weather conditions.
