Maintenance Technician – High‑Rise Property

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the physical aspects of a high‑rise residential property, including buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas, meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, completing repairs and inspecting finished work.
• Manage inventory of maintenance supplies, tools and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests and related paperwork accurately and promptly for proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas and amenities by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible and using materials and tools efficiently.
