Maintenance Technician – Gateway 505

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to support the day‑to‑day operation of our Gateway 505 property. You will ensure that the building, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, cleanliness and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident work orders and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and completing repairs in line with policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, coordinating vendors, obtaining supplies and completing all required maintenance tasks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and timely to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain common areas and amenities by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant trade certifications are a plus.
• Experience in building or property maintenance preferred.
• Ability to follow safety and risk‑management procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to perform pressure‑washing and basic painting.
