Maintenance Technician – Garden Style Community

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the physical aspects of its Garden‑style community in San Jose Gardens meet the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will work on resident requests, preventative maintenance, and the preparation of vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident service requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing issues in line with company policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, task completion, and final inspection.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document all service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts whenever possible and minimizing waste.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in property or building maintenance.
• Ability to work Monday‑Friday with on‑call duties as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety and code standards.
