Maintenance Technician – Elmhurst Village

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the physical aspects of our Elmhurst Village property meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. The role involves responding to resident requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident service requests and conduct preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and timely to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible.

Required profile

• Ability to work Monday‑Friday with a rotating on‑call schedule.
• Physical capability to perform manual labor, lift equipment, and work in various weather conditions.
• Commitment to follow Greystar safety procedures and company policies.
