Maintenance Technician – Elan Smyrna

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Elan Smyrna community. You will ensure that the building, grounds, amenities and common areas meet the company’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident requests and preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, equipment and supplies, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas and amenities by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning and painting curbs or signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials and tools efficiently.

• Physical ability to perform manual tasks and operate equipment safely.
