Maintenance Technician – District 1860

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the physical aspects of the property—including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas—meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. This role supports resident satisfaction and prepares vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance by diagnosing issues and making repairs in line with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, track usage, return unused items, and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.
• Participate in safety meetings and adhere to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical and technical issues and perform effective repairs.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and make‑ready processes in a property setting.
