Maintenance Technician – Centralized Services

About the role

Maintain fulfillment center facilities and equipment to ensure reliable operations, focusing on preventive maintenance and minor repairs of material handling systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform assigned preventive maintenance tasks and minor mechanical repairs on material handling and other fulfillment center equipment.
• Use structured preventive maintenance systems following manufacturer recommendations and best practices.
• Clear equipment jams and remove foreign materials to keep material handling systems running efficiently.
• Conduct general building maintenance such as lamp replacement, simple construction, wiring, overhead door repairs, and plumbing.

Required profile

• Associate degree in industrial or maintenance technology OR at least 2 years of maintenance experience in facilities, the United States Armed Forces, distribution, or manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of industrial electricity, including single‑phase and three‑phase power, motors, protective devices, and photo sensors.
• Minimum 6 months experience using hand and power tools (drills, fasteners, saws) in a similar setting.
• Understanding of mechanical theory covering bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, construction, and equipment operation.
• Ability to climb to elevated work areas, lift up to 80 lb, and perform repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking.
