Maintenance Technician – Brickyard (Barbers Hill)

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the physical aspects of its Brickyard at Barbers Hill property meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. The role involves responding to resident service requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Track and manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, returning unused items and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
• Adhere to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, participating in routine safety meetings.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical or building defects and perform repairs.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and make‑ready processes.
• Familiarity with inventory tracking and documentation procedures.
• Willingness to perform grounds‑keeping tasks and follow safety protocols.
