Maintenance Technician – Birchway Elk Grove

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Birchway Elk Grove community. The role involves performing technical and mechanical work to keep the property’s buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas clean, safe, and fully functional.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service requests accurately and promptly for proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts when possible and minimizing waste of materials.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in property or facilities maintenance.
• Willingness to work a Monday‑Sunday schedule with on‑call duties.
• Eligibility for a 20% housing discount.
