Maintenance Technician – Ayrsley Lofts

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Ayrsley Lofts community in Charlotte, NC. The role ensures that all building systems, grounds, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, functionality, and appearance.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete preventative maintenance work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical and building system issues and perform repairs safely.
• Experience handling work orders, inventory management, and documentation.
• Physical capability to perform cleaning, pressure‑washing, and minor painting tasks.
• Commitment to following Greystar’s policies, procedures, and safety standards.
