Maintenance Technician – Ascent St. Petersburg

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join Greystar’s team at the Ascent St. Petersburg property. The role involves ensuring that the building, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document all service requests and maintenance activities accurately and promptly.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to follow established procedures, safety protocols and code requirements.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections, documentation and inventory tracking.
• Physical capability to perform manual labor, lift equipment and work in various weather conditions.
• Effective communication with residents, vendors and maintenance team members.
