Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift

About the role

Moog is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician for the first shift at its Niagara Falls, NY facility. You will join a performance‑driven culture that values technical problem‑solving and teamwork, supporting critical aircraft systems and facility operations.

Key responsibilities

• Test, maintain, and operate steam boilers.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plumbing, heating, and minor carpentry tasks.
• Perform preventative maintenance and modifications on HVAC, power distribution, and process water systems.
• Maintain exterior grounds, including landscaping, snow removal, and parking lot upkeep.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and fire‑life safety systems.
• Support hot‑fire testing operations as needed and participate in the Safety Committee.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED; associate degree or technical training preferred.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
• Willingness to obtain a steam‑boiler certification (attendance one day per week).

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
• Experience with steam boiler operation and maintenance.
• Understanding of power distribution and process water systems.
• Familiarity with fire and life‑safety equipment.
