Maintenance Supervisor – The Russell Community

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee technical and mechanical work for The Russell community in Richmond, VA. The role ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests, diagnose issues, and perform repairs in line with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Manage the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor scheduling, and final quality checks.
• Develop and maintain standards for the appearance of grounds, building exteriors, signage, parking areas, and other common spaces.
• Inspect work performed by team members, contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, coordinating orders with the Community Manager while adhering to budget guidelines.
• Execute monthly preventative maintenance procedures as outlined in company policies.

Required profile

• Lease‑up experience preferred.
• Strong ability to diagnose maintenance issues and coordinate repairs.
• Experience supervising maintenance staff or coordinating with vendors.
• Attention to detail and commitment to Greystar’s quality standards.
