Maintenance Supervisor – The Island Residences

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor ensures that all building systems, grounds, amenities and common areas at The Island Residences meet Greystar’s high standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. This role combines hands‑on technical work with oversight of service teams and external vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests, diagnose issues and perform repairs in line with policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Manage the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply ordering and final quality checks.
• Develop and enforce standards for the appearance of grounds, building exteriors, signage, parking areas and other community spaces.
• Conduct periodic inspections of work performed by internal staff and external contractors to ensure compliance with quality and scope specifications.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, collaborating with the Community Manager to stay within budget.
• Execute monthly preventative maintenance tasks as outlined in company policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in property or facilities maintenance, preferably in multifamily residential settings.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work orders and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to safety and compliance standards.
