Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor will lead the upkeep and repair of college buildings, equipment, and grounds for the State of Georgia. This full‑time, onsite position ensures safe, functional facilities while supporting campus operations.

Key responsibilities

• Train, assign, direct, supervise and evaluate skilled and semi‑skilled maintenance staff.
• Oversee repair and maintenance of college buildings, equipment, and grounds, including landscaping and parking lots.
• Plan and manage renovation and carpentry projects.
• Respond to emergency repair requests and maintain detailed work order logs.
• Maintain fire alarms, extinguishers, sprinkler and security systems.
• Serve as Campus Security Authority, report crimes to campus police, and complete annual CSA training.
• Participate in assessment, budgeting, planning and staff development activities.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least three years of related maintenance experience.
• Technical college diploma in Industrial Maintenance, Industrial Electrical, HVAC or related field (preferred).
• Type 1 & 2 or Universal Refrigerant Recovery Certification (preferred).
