Maintenance Supervisor – HeatherGate Community

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor leads the technical and mechanical operations for the HeatherGate community, ensuring that all interior and exterior areas are kept to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety and functionality. This position oversees a team of maintenance staff, coordinates service requests, and manages the make‑ready process for vacant units.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily maintenance activities for buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas.
• Respond to resident work orders, diagnose issues and perform repairs in line with safety codes and company policies.
• Manage the make‑ready cycle: inspect vacated units, create punch lists, schedule vendors, procure supplies and verify completed work.
• Develop and enforce standards for cleanliness and appearance of all community spaces.
• Inspect work performed by staff and external contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintain an adequate inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in property or community maintenance, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of building systems such as HVAC, plumbing and electrical.
• Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations and preventive maintenance practices.
• Ability to manage vendors, schedule work and oversee inventory.
