Maintenance Supervisor (Community)

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor ensures that all building interiors, exteriors, grounds, and common areas of the community meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. Reporting to the Community Manager, you will lead routine upkeep, respond to resident service requests, and oversee the make‑ready process for vacant units.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues from resident work orders, adhering to safety standards and code requirements.
• Manage the make‑ready cycle: conduct pre‑move‑out inspections, create punch lists, schedule vendors, procure supplies, complete repairs, and verify finished work.
• Develop and enforce standards for the appearance of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, signage, parking areas, and other common spaces.
• Inspect work performed by team members, contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with quality and scope specifications.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance materials, coordinating orders with the Community Manager within budget guidelines.
• Execute monthly preventative maintenance tasks as outlined in company policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in property or facilities maintenance, preferably in multifamily residential settings.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple work orders and projects.
• Effective communication and teamwork, capable of coordinating with vendors and internal staff.
• Attention to detail and commitment to upholding high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Required skills

• Hands‑on knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance procedures and inventory management.
• Ability to read and interpret building codes and safety regulations.
