Maintenance Supervisor – Columbus, OH

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead technical and mechanical upkeep of its Columbus community. The role ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s high standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests, diagnose issues, and perform repairs in line with safety standards and code requirements.
• Manage the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Develop and enforce standards for the appearance and maintenance of grounds, building exteriors, interiors, breezeways, signage, parking areas and other common spaces.
• Inspect work performed by team members, contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with policies, quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, collaborating with the Community Manager to order materials within budget.
• Conduct monthly preventative maintenance activities and document completed work.

Required profile

• Proven ability to oversee and perform technical and mechanical maintenance tasks.
• Experience diagnosing defects, creating work orders and coordinating repairs.
• Capability to develop maintenance standards and inspect work for quality and compliance.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory management and vendor scheduling.
