Maintenance Lead – Residential Property

About the role

The Maintenance Lead is responsible for overseeing technical and mechanical work across the property, ensuring that units, common areas, grounds and amenities meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. This role operates on‑site in Charlotte, NC, with a Monday‑Friday schedule and rotating on‑call duties.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and perform work order completion for resident service requests and preventative maintenance, ensuring compliance with policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Oversee the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks and final inspection.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and order new supplies as needed.
• Conduct all required property and unit inspections using Leonardo 247, Entrata and other platforms, meeting regulatory and company standards.
• Complete documentation and paperwork accurately and promptly.

Required profile

• Experience in residential property maintenance and ability to lead maintenance activities.
• Familiarity with work‑order and inspection systems such as Leonardo 247 and Entrata.
• Capability to coordinate vendors, manage inventory and follow safety and code requirements.
• Ability to work under the supervision of an Area Maintenance Manager.
