Maintenance Foreman – Concrete & Landscape Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Foreman to lead a crew that handles concrete, paver and brick landscape work across sidewalks, curbs, plazas and retaining walls. The role combines hands‑on concrete finishing with crew supervision and equipment upkeep.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and direct a crew of concrete finishers, maintenance repairers, equipment operators and contract laborers to perform formwork, concrete pours and finishing tasks.
• Ensure work accuracy, neatness and site safety, maintaining a clean and organized job site.
• Coordinate with inmate crews for site preparation, grading and clean‑up activities.
• Assist the supervisor with planning, scheduling, purchasing and completing required administrative paperwork.
• Complete daily paperwork such as timesheets, leave requests and HR tasks for the crew.
• Oversee preventative maintenance, repair and cleaning of all assigned equipment, working with the shop foreman to keep machinery service‑ready.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks as directed by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Four years of experience or training in building construction trades, building maintenance, mechanical equipment repair, or park operations and grounds maintenance.
• Or a two‑year vocational technical program in construction‑related fields plus two years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, layout work, use leveling instruments and calculate angles and curves.
• Experience supervising crews and managing safety on construction sites.
