Maintenance Engineer / Technician – Solar Torque Tube Manufacturing

About the role

We are launching a new production line for galvanized solar torque tubes in Shreveport, LA. The Maintenance Engineer / Technician will join the commissioning team to install equipment, support trial runs and ensure reliable plant performance once the line is operational.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with installation and commissioning of tube mills, roll‑forming, galvanizing and finishing equipment.
• Support production trials and the initial product launch, troubleshooting any issues that arise.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems to minimise downtime.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to keep production running smoothly.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and manage spare‑parts inventory.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience with ERW tube mills, roll‑forming equipment, galvanizing lines or similar heavy‑steel manufacturing assets.
• Strong troubleshooting ability across mechanical and electrical domains.
• Comfort working in a start‑up environment, supporting both commissioning and steady‑state operations.
• Technician: hands‑on experience maintaining or repairing production equipment.
• Engineer: background in reliability, maintenance planning or engineering support of production lines, with ability to work on CAPEX projects before operations.
