Maintenance Engineer II – Industrial Equipment

About the role

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a detail‑oriented Maintenance Engineer II to join its Opelousas team. You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing industrial equipment and systems to ensure high operational efficiency and minimal downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions using diagnostic tools and implement timely repairs.
• Develop and maintain maintenance schedules, work orders, and technical documentation in a CMMS.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues before they impact production.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to prioritize tasks and resolve operational challenges.
• Maintain accurate records of parts inventory, maintenance activities, and equipment performance metrics.
• Adhere to safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
• Provide on‑call emergency support and contribute to predictive maintenance initiatives.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3‑5 years of hands‑on maintenance engineering experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Experience using maintenance management software (CMMS) or similar platforms.
