Maintenance Electrician

About the role

The Maintenance Electrician supports continuous manufacturing operations in a fast-paced industrial environment, gaining hands-on exposure to electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems. The role suits someone who enjoys troubleshooting complex equipment, working with advanced automation technologies and improving plant performance. The primary location is Bridgewater Interiors III.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair electrical and mechanical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrically and mechanically driven systems to minimise downtime and support continuous production.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, including AC/DC controls and systems.
• Work with PLC-controlled equipment, assisting with diagnostics, troubleshooting and repairs.
• Operate production equipment as needed while performing repairs.
• Collaborate with maintenance technicians and production personnel, working independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, reliability and continuous improvement.
• Ability to build positive working relationships with management teams while following workplace policies.
• Shift requirement: 2nd shift, 5:00 PM - 1:30 AM.

Required skills

• Experience with PLCs, VFDs and 480V three-phase motor control systems.
• Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting; pneumatic troubleshooting is desired.
• PLC programming skills and formal training are a plus.
• Basic welding skills are a plus.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or CMMS is a plus.
