Maintenance Coordinator – Facilities & Property Operations

About the role

The Arc of Ocean County is looking for a dependable Maintenance Coordinator to oversee facility and property operations across multiple locations in Ocean County. This full‑time position ensures that all buildings and grounds remain safe, functional, and well‑maintained through effective coordination and supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance activities across residential and program sites throughout Ocean County.
• Supervise maintenance staff, assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure projects meet agency standards.
• Address routine and complex repairs involving building systems, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and groundskeeping.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation and respond to after‑hours or emergency situations.
• Prepare repair estimates, process invoices, and assist with larger project coordination.
• Oversee landscaping, groundskeeping, and exterior upkeep to keep facilities clean and presentable.
• Perform minor repairs, installations, and troubleshooting of appliances, furniture, fixtures, and office equipment.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of professional maintenance or facilities management experience.
• At least two years of supervisory or team‑lead experience.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
• Valid New Jersey driver’s license in good standing (no more than five points).
• High School Diploma or GED.
