About the role

The Maintenance Assistant supports the Physical Plant team in keeping the campus facilities safe, functional, and well‑maintained. Working under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor or Facilities Director, you will perform hands‑on tasks across multiple trades, provide general cleaning, and assist with grounds and event support.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform routine building maintenance and repairs across various trades.
  • Conduct general cleaning of interior spaces and maintain exterior grounds.
  • Support campus events by setting up, tearing down, and ensuring facilities are ready.
  • Follow safety procedures and comply with state, federal, and institutional policies.
  • Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with labor‑intensive tasks and respond to work orders promptly.

Required profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to perform physical labor and lift moderate weights.
  • Reliability, good attendance, and a willingness to learn.
  • Strong attention to safety and campus cleanliness.
