Machinist III – 2nd/3rd Shift (Onsite, Buffalo, NY)

About the role

Moog is seeking an experienced Machinist III to work the 2nd/3rd shift in its Buffalo, NY manufacturing facility. The role involves producing high‑tolerance, flight‑critical components for advanced military aircraft programs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform precision machining and CNC programming on CAM systems to create, repair, or modify complex parts, fixtures, tooling, and sub‑assemblies.
• Plan, fixture, and layout jobs while maintaining tolerances of .0001‑.0002 inches.
• Inspect finished work and ensure quality compliance with strict FAA regulations.
• Collaborate with design draftsmen and manufacturing teams to meet production schedules.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (preferred) and ability to follow written and computer instructions in English.
• At least 4 years of diversified machining experience.
• Willingness to work 2nd shift (2:15 PM – 10:45 PM) and enroll in Moog’s FAA Drug & Alcohol Program.
